Our Story

Lex Exec was founded by Colin Lynam. Colin's journey began when he completed his legal studies and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2006. He opted for a different path to a traditional legal career and co-founded a Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences staffing business in 2008. Over the next 17 years, he expanded the business to over 150 staff, establishing offices on four continents. During this time, Colin recognised a growing demand for specialist, industry-aligned legal talent, driven by an increasing need for in-house legal and compliance professionals, coupled with a shortage of private practice talent. This realization led to the creation of Lex Exec, a legal recruitment business dedicated to bridging the gap between exceptional legal and compliance talent and industry needs.

We combine the extensive legal recruitment experience of a large staffing firm with the personalized, people-centric approach of a boutique agency. Our focus is on building lasting relationships, aiming to be both a trusted talent partner to our clients and a long-term career partner for our candidates.
